FAQs

What kind of compression do these socks have?

These socks have a 360° compression body that hugs the foot, an arch band and ankle support. They don't carry a graduated mmHg rating like our knee-highs; the support is focused on the foot and ankle, with a cushioned sole for all-day comfort.

Are ankle, quarter, crew and liner socks one size?

Yes. Our ankle, quarter, mid-crew, crew and liner socks are one-size-fits-most and fit the same shoe sizes as our knee-highs: women's shoe sizes 4–10 and men's shoe sizes 7–12. Stretch yarn and flex zones help them adapt to your foot for a snug, secure fit without pinching. If you have questions about fit, our customer care team is happy to help.

What's the difference between quarter, mid-crew and crew socks?

It comes down to height. Quarter socks sit just above the ankle bone, mid-crew socks reach a few inches higher on the lower leg, and crew socks rise toward the mid-calf. All three use a 360° compression body with an arch band and ankle support; for compression up the calf, choose a knee-high.

Do crew compression socks support the calf like knee-highs?

Crew socks focus their support on the foot, arch and ankle with a 360° compression body. They don't reach high enough to give graduated compression through the calf. If you want that, or support for leg swelling, a knee-high style is the better fit.

How do I wash compression socks?

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors, use only non-chlorine bleach if needed, and air dry or tumble dry on low. Socks with spandex can look a little smaller after washing, but that shouldn't change the fit. Gentle care helps them keep their support longer.
