How much compression do Dr. Motion compression tights have?

Our Graduated Compression Tights start at 18 mmHg at the ankle and ease to 5 mmHg at the thigh. They also have a comfort control top, flat seams, a breathable cotton gusset and a moisture-wicking knit, so they sit smoothly under dresses and skirts.

Should I choose compression tights or knee-high socks?

Tights carry graduated compression from the ankle up through the thigh and are made to wear under dresses and skirts. Knee-highs stop just below the knee, cost less and work under pants or with boots. Both are good for long workdays, so choose based on your outfit and how much coverage you want.

What size compression tights should I get?

Tights are sized by height and weight. S fits 4'11"–5'6" and 100–150 lbs, M fits 5'3"–6'0" and 120–170 lbs, L fits 5'2"–6'0" and 150–190 lbs, and XL fits 5'2"–6'2" and 170–220 lbs. If you fall between two sizes, our customer care team can help you choose.

Can I wear compression socks all day?

Yes. Our mild (8–15 mmHg) and moderate (15–20 mmHg) styles are designed to be worn from morning until you get ready for bed. Most people take them off at night, since compression does the most when you're upright and moving. If your healthcare provider has given you different guidance, follow it.

How do I wash compression socks?

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors, use only non-chlorine bleach if needed, and air dry or tumble dry on low. Socks with spandex can look a little smaller after washing, but that shouldn't change the fit. Gentle care helps them keep their support longer.

What are your shipping and return policies?

U.S. orders of $50 or more (after discounts) ship free, and Canadian orders of CA$135 or more get free economy shipping. Orders leave our New Jersey warehouse within 1–4 business days, and U.S. deliveries usually arrive 3–8 business days after that. Exchanges are free within 30 days of delivery. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days for a flat $5 fee that includes a prepaid label; email returns@drmotionsocks.com to start.
